CGM Patch OEM: What to Include in Your Drawing and RFQ

What dimensions does a sensor overlay drawing need?

Show the outer width and height or diameter, opening size and position, orientation and liner arrangement in millimeters. Identify the intended device version and request evaluation of the exact construction; a drawing alone does not establish compatibility or wear duration.

Buyer guide · English

A sensor-overlay inquiry needs more than a photograph of a patch. The manufacturer needs to understand the intended device, the outer cutting shape, the opening and the packaging unit. A dimensioned brief makes it easier to review the project and identify what still needs evaluation.

This guide covers preparing an OEM quotation request. It does not establish compatibility with a particular device or a wear-duration claim. Those points need review for the exact patch construction and intended use.

1. Identify the intended device and reference

Include the device name and version you intend to evaluate, together with photographs or a reference sample where available. Mark whether the example shows your required shape or is only a starting point. Do not infer dimensions from an image that has no scale.

For an existing MZBIO reference, include its catalog ID. For example, CUST-01 and CUST-06 identify references in the custom adhesive patch category; they do not by themselves establish the same material, cutting geometry or compatibility.

2. Dimension the outer shape and opening separately

Use millimeters and show the patch width and height. For a circular design, identify the outer diameter. For an oval or custom outline, provide enough dimensions to define the shape and orientation.

Record the opening size, shape and position relative to the outer edge or center. State whether your drawing requires an opening or a closed center. Identify the side that faces the skin and the direction of any printed design. Ask the manufacturer to review tolerances and cutting feasibility rather than treating the initial drawing as a production approval.

3. Separate material selection from performance targets

State your preferred substrate, adhesive and release-liner arrangement, or identify these as open questions. The catalog includes non-woven, cotton and PU film references; the construction for your chosen product must be confirmed.

If the intended use involves water exposure, exercise or a target wear period, describe the requirement and ask what evaluation and supporting reports apply to the selected construction. A material name or a custom outline alone does not establish these outcomes. Confirm the proposed evaluation conditions and acceptance criteria before approving a claim for your packaging.

4. Show the liner and retail pack

Include any required split-liner arrangement, removal tabs and individual wrapping. Specify pieces per pouch or box, the number of finished packs, printed surfaces and the language of the instructions.

Separate the quantity for each outline, size, color and artwork version. Ask whether any minimum quantity applies separately to a variant. A total order quantity should not be assumed to cover every proposed combination.

5. Compare quotations on the same basis

Ask whether the quotation unit is one patch, one pouch or one finished box. Request separate confirmation of sample charges, any cutting or artwork setup cost, packaging, the production schedule and shipping terms.

MZBIO MOQ depends on product characteristics and is confirmed in the quotation. A sample fee is required upfront and refunded after an order is placed. Confirm the amount, what it covers and the refund arrangement for the particular order. Unconfirmed commercial terms should remain open items in the brief.

Approve the evaluated specification

Keep the drawing version, material reference, sample changes and final pack count together. Compare the sample with the written brief, then resolve the remaining questions before approving bulk production. Use the OEM sample approval checklist to record the decision.
