How to Specify Non-Woven, PE and PET Nasal Strips
Select an OEM nasal strip by its complete construction: substrate, support bands, adhesive, dimensions and packaging. A material name alone does not establish lift, comfort, adhesion or wear performance.
What is the difference between the listed material options?
MZBIO lists non-woven, PE and PET nasal strip references. These names identify starting points for a purchasing discussion. Ask which layer a material name describes and request the complete construction for the selected reference. Do not assume that every visible, adhesive or support layer uses the same material.
| Starting point | Specify in the brief | Confirm on the selected sample |
|---|---|---|
| Non-woven reference | Substrate specification, outline, color and any printing | Dimensions, appearance, support-band construction, adhesive and liner |
| PE film reference | Film specification and required appearance; name the catalog ID | Film, support bands and adhesive as one agreed construction |
| PET film reference | Film specification, strip dimensions and retail pack count | Finished construction and packaging; do not infer it from the film name |
| Clear or tan appearance | Appearance requirement and the exact catalog reference | Actual substrate and printed finish; color is not a material specification |
| Regular or extra-strength version | The proposed support construction and comparison-sample request | Agreed construction and any documented evaluation; the label is not a test result |
Which catalog reference should I start with?
Use NASAL-01 to discuss a non-woven reference, NASAL-04 for a transparent-format inquiry, or NASAL-15 for a PET reference listed with a 30-piece retail box. These examples are separate specifications; they do not establish a ranking or equivalent performance.
How should two samples be compared?
Give each sample a reference and drawing version. Compare the same length, width, outline and pack format, then record which construction differs. Agree the evaluation method and acceptance criteria with the supplier before drawing conclusions. Ask what supporting evidence applies to any proposed performance statement.
If you are matching an existing product, send a physical reference sample and a dimensioned drawing where available. A photograph can communicate appearance but cannot confirm adhesive formulation, support force or finished dimensions.
What belongs in the quotation request?
- Catalog reference, substrate option and unresolved construction questions.
- Length, width and outline in millimeters; color and artwork version.
- Support-band and adhesive requirements for review, plus any evaluation needed.
- Individual wrapping, strips per retail box and quantity per variant.
- Destination country, instruction language and requested delivery date.
Use the nasal strip packaging worksheet and box planner to separate individual strips from finished packs. MOQ, sample charges and schedules are confirmed in the quotation. Sample fees are paid upfront and refunded after an order is placed, on the confirmed order terms.
